The northern provinces of Argentina, Salta, and Jujuy are hidden diamonds for many tourists. This vast region homes some of the most incredible landscapes in Argentina, completely opposed to the ones in Patagonia.  Mesmerizing colors, indigenous customs, ancient ruins and vegetation that varies from desert areas to subtropical jungles, are some of their landmarks. Many interesting activities and tours can be arranged around this area according to your interests. Just to name a few: Tafí del Valle, a place fully merited by the color of its vegetations and brightness of its skies, Quilmes Ruins, an archeological site with one of the largest pre-Columbian settlements in the country, Salinas Grandes, a sea of salt with infinite whiteness and the Train to the Clouds, a stunning work of engineering that allows Salta´s beauty to be admired from above.  This region is filled with incredible things to see and do, and its unique cuisine owns some of the country's most traditional foods, like "empanadas salteñas" and locro. The Argentinian North is a treasure land that dares you not to fall in love with her.
