It is the most UNIQUE JEWEL in golf, Argentina has to offers. You may love it or hate it, but you will not find a course like this anywhere in the world.
Established in 1900 and known as “The Cathedral”, the Playa Grande Course is located in the most expensive lot in the city, housed in a side of a hill in front of Mar del Plata Port. It is a short course but quite challenging if the wind is blowing; this course is a true “golf jewel”. Maybe, its main peculiarity is that, no matter the line you take, your putter will always fall towards the sea. Its grand Tudor-style clubhouse offers great facilities.
8th Hole / Par 3 / 126 yards:
Although the course has alot of excellent holes, this is the best short/tough par 3 I've ever played. With only 126 yards, against the wind you can shoot even with #5 iron. The green is "small as a coin" and rolls fast to the sea, you need to get it from the tee to have par/birdie chances. If you miss the green you ARE GONE!
