It is the most UNIQUE JEWEL in golf, Argentina has to offers. You may love it or hate it, but you will not find a course like this anywhere in the world.
Established in 1900 and known as “The Cathedral”, the Playa Grande Course is located in the most expensive lot in the city, housed in a side of a hill in front of Mar del Plata Port. It is a short course but quite challenging if the wind is blowing; this course is a true “golf jewel”. Maybe, its main peculiarity is that, no matter the line you take, your putter will always fall towards the sea. Its grand Tudor-style clubhouse offers great facilities.
The 8th, Par 3 of 126 yards, is probably the best short/tough par 3 in the world, that can even require a #5 iron into the wind. The green is "small as a coin" and rolls fast to the sea, and if you miss it, is almost impossible to get a par.
